Delete Your Account and Data
App: Nekhor · Developer: Samye Translations · Last updated: July 10, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Nekhor mobile-app account and the personal data associated with it. You can do this directly within the app, or alternatively by email as described below.
How to delete your account
In the app: Open Nekhor, go to Settings, tap Delete Account, and confirm. Your account and associated personal data are deleted immediately, except where we are required to retain certain information as described above. You do not need to contact us to complete this step.
By email (alternative): If you prefer, or if you are unable to access the app, you may instead request deletion by email:
Send an email to info@samyetranslations.org from the email address you used to create your Nekhor account.
Use the subject line: Nekhor account deletion request.
In the body of the message, confirm that you want your Nekhor account and associated personal data deleted.
We will confirm the request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of confirmation. We may ask you to verify ownership of the email address before deleting the account.
If you signed in with Apple or Google: please email us from the same email address that is associated with your Apple ID or Google account on Nekhor, so we can locate and verify your account.
What data is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following are deleted from our systems:
Your Nekhor account record (email address, display name, password hash, authentication identifiers).
Any saved preferences and content associated with your account.
Your subscription record on our backend (entitlement state).
What data may be kept
We may retain a limited amount of data after account deletion only where we are required or permitted to do so by law, including:
Transaction and tax records. Records of past subscription purchases may be retained in our payment processors' systems (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat) and in our financial records for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
Backup snapshots. Routine database backups may contain a copy of your data for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.
Aggregated, de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you.
Cancelling a subscription
Deleting your Nekhor account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple or Google. To cancel your subscription:
iOS: open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Nekhor → Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Nekhor → Cancel Subscription.
You can also tap Settings → Cancel subscription inside the Nekhor app, which deep-links to the correct store page.
