New Translation | "A Garland of Vajra Gems"

Today we offer a new translation, on the day when we commemorate Guru Rinpoche’s wrathful form, Guru Dorje Drolö:

A Garland of Vajra Gems: The Life and Liberation of the Guru, by Jamgön Kongtrul.

This epic of Guru Padmasambhava, as recorded by Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal, was revealed by Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye as a “siddhi”. The text consists of ten short chapters, each related to a different aspect of the master’s life and activities.

New Translation | "A Joyful Chariot of the Fortunate"

Today we offer a new translation, presented on the occasion of Lodi Gyari Rinpoche's cremation, the same day when we commemorate Guru Rinpoche as “Guru Padmasambhava,” who tames the land of Tibet and there lights the lamp of Dharma:

A Joyful Chariot for the Fortunate: An Aspiration to Travel to the Copper-Coloured Mountain of Glory, by Dudjom Rinpoche (1904–1987) 

Dudjom Rinpoche composed this prayer of aspiration to be reborn on the Copper Coloured Mountain of Glory, or Zangdok Palri, after his firstborn daughter, Dekyong Yeshe Wangmo, had left this world. The inspiration for this prayer, it is said, was therefore her parting gift.

Nekhor’s Pema Jungne Translations dedicates this to the memory of Lodi Gyari Rinpoche, whose unswerving devotion to Guru Rinpoche will continue to inspire us and guide us on the path. May we meet again on the Copper-Coloured Mountain of Glory!
